The Futurist Sphere

Inspired by the Futurist ceramics invented by Tullio d’Albisola in the third decade of the twentieth century, the Lavoratti 1938 sphere is inspired by Torido Mazzotti’s planet vase and motorised vases. A new work of art by the master potter and painter from Albisola, for a gift pack created especially for Lavoratti 1938. It is a precious art object in a limited edition and signed by Tullio Mazzotti. Inside is a sphere of single-origin 80% chocolate and Arancia del Giardino della Kolymbethra. The FAI (Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano) has recovered the ancient citrus grove in the Valle della Kolymbethra, adjacent to the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, dating back to the 6th century B.C. Planted in the first half of the 18th century, the citrus grove produces a variety of oranges known as ‘ncannalatri’, or ‘ingannaladri’. In fact, their rustic appearance characterised by an irregular shape suggests that they are not worthy of being stolen.
